In addition to the core functionality of Trilogy Publishing Manager, there are a number of features that are available which would be of particular interest to institutional publishers, namely:

Titles can be categorised by subject, category and sub-category.  These categories can be used for reporting and marketing. For example, when new titles are published all purchasers of similar titles can be mailed.

The system builds buying histories of customers and members which can be used for marketing purposes.

Customer lists based on these buying histories can be created and merged with Word or Excel for marketing.

The system can manage the purchasing of other publications within the relevant subject area for onward sales to customers and members.  There is also functionality for special orders management.

There are feature rich customer services and distribution management modules.

The contact module caters for complex hierarchical organisational structures, including financial accounting for head office/branch office models.

The system has a variable general ledger code structure for integration to central accounting systems.

The system efficiently handles both trade and cash-with-order sales with functionality to pass back summary or full transactional information to centralised accounting systems.

Subscriptions and standing order management allows the management of these sales  to customers and members.

A flexible, multiple, level pricing structure is available to cater for different pricing for members, students, overseas sales, etc.

There is a function to import web orders and process them within customer services.

Contact lists can be imported complete with source codes, key words, etc.
